There are some world renowned guru's who have made very considerable sums of money from promoting the idea that 'you can be anything that you want to be' or that 'you can achieve anything that you set your mind to'. They further declare 'If you can conceive it - you can attain it'. It is all very positive and powerfully motivational, but the cold reality is that for the vast majority of people those pronouncements simply are not true.
