John McCain is on spot on with demands for an investigation of the failed financial institutions that were driven by the failure of Freddy Mac and Fannie Mae. The Democrats are busy trying to blame the crisis on the Republicans, while they were the key recipients of huge campaign contributions from these failed institutions, including Freddy Mac and Fannie Mae, as well as Bear Stearns, Lehman Brothers and others. How much empathy does the predominantly Democrat recipients have for the shareholders of these failed insttutions? As one who received little or nothing from these institutions, McCain has the political leverage...
